SAULT STE. MARIE, MICHIGAN
& ONTARIO - Kuk Sa Num and the
seminar team, made up of Alex Suh, Kwan
Jang Nim, and Dixon Koonz, Kwan Jang Nim,
arrived in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan
on Wednesday, June 25th.
On Thursday afternoon Kuk Sa Nim supervised a black belt test in
Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Several students from the
Family Martial Arts Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario took part in this test for
scheduling convenience or for additional practice. An evening seminar was
conducted with about twenty-three participants.
At the conclusion
of the seminar Dahn Bo Nim Tara Laitinen
and Ethan Parker were promoted to the rank of Jo Kyo
Nim and Jo Kyo Nim Peter MacDougall and
Alan Seymour were promoted to the rank of Kyo
Sa Nim.
Testing began the
next morning in the Family Martial Arts Centre school in Sault Ste.
Marie, Ontario, Canada. Two of the Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan’s
newest dahn bo nim were so excited about beginning testing that they
participated in a second day of testing. The seminar followed the
testing in the afternoon with about twenty-five participants.
Kyo Sa Nim Shannon Pinder was
promoted to the rank of Pu Sa Bum Nim. Jo Kyo
Nim Ed Hong, Michael O’Toole, and Jonathan O’Toole moved
up to the rank of Kyo Sa Nim and six dahn
bo nim promoted to Jo Kyo Nim. The new Jo Kyo
Nim are Lucy Couture, Joseph Gallo, Amanda Kubik, Jessica McMillan, Leo Moore, and Nicole
Moran.
